1. The service and these terms
Groute provides tools for fixtures, teams, line-ups, match recording, results, statistics and reports. In these terms, “we” means the operator of Groute and “you” means the person using the service. Contact us at groutesport@gmail.com.
Read these terms before using an account. They apply to your use of Groute. Our privacy policy explains how information is handled. If you cannot agree to these terms, do not create or continue to use an account; contact us if you need help retrieving existing records.
2. Accounts and club authority
Accounts are for coaches, managers and administrators aged 18 or over. You must provide accurate account details, keep your sign-in method secure and use only the access granted to you. Do not share an account or use another person's credentials. Tell us promptly about suspected misuse.
You must have authority from the club to manage its records. Club administrators are responsible for assigning appropriate roles, removing access when it is no longer required, and checking who can see or publish club information. An invitation or technical permission does not replace that authority.
3. Player information and responsible use
Only enter or import information that you are authorised to use for club administration. Your club must provide the required privacy information and establish a valid basis for processing, including appropriate arrangements for junior players. Check access and public-sharing settings before publishing names, images, line-ups or reports.
Do not upload unlawful, discriminatory, abusive or infringing content. Do not use Groute to harass people, collect unrelated personal information, distribute malicious software, bypass access controls or disrupt the service. Do not put health records, safeguarding cases, passwords or identity documents in notes, imports or reports.
Groute is not an emergency, medical or safeguarding reporting service. Use your club's established procedures for those matters. Football statistics and reports support club administration; they do not replace a coach's judgement or governing-body records.
4. Your content
You and the relevant rights holders retain ownership of content you submit. You give Groute permission to store, process, display and transmit it as needed to provide the features you or your club request, maintain backups, secure the service and resolve support issues. This includes using the service providers described in the privacy policy.
This permission does not give us a general right to sell your personal information or use private club records in advertising. You are responsible for the accuracy of records and for having permission to upload images or other protected content. Tell us if you believe content infringes your rights.
5. AI drafts and external services
AI match reports are optional drafts generated through Google Gemini. Requesting a draft sends match facts and coach notes to that provider as explained in the privacy policy. Do not include sensitive or unnecessary personal information. Check every draft for factual errors, inappropriate content and publication permissions before you use or share it.
AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate or unique. You remain responsible for publication and for decisions based on club records. Google sign-in and other external services also operate under their own applicable terms. Features can be affected by provider availability and usage limits.
6. Availability, changes and charges
Groute is currently available for club testing without an application subscription charge. We will tell you about any proposed paid plan and require your agreement before charging you. These terms do not authorise a payment or automatic subscription.
We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance, faults, changes and provider limits can interrupt it. We may change features as testing continues. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical. Keep an appropriate copy of important club records; do not rely on an offline device as your only record.
7. Suspension and leaving
We may restrict access where reasonably needed to protect users or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law or address a serious breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. Urgent security action may need to happen first.
You can stop using Groute and contact us to request account closure or help with your records. Leaving a club or closing an account does not automatically erase all of the club's match history. Requests are handled as described in the privacy policy and subject to other people's rights and applicable legal duties.
8. Responsibility and legal rights
We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the service. We cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted or free from errors. Responsibility for a loss depends on the circumstances and applicable law; you remain responsible for your own unlawful use, unauthorised disclosures and club decisions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or statutory right that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. These terms do not remove your mandatory consumer or data protection rights.
The law of England and Wales applies, except where mandatory local protections give you other rights. These terms do not prevent a consumer from using courts that are available under applicable law. Please contact us first where possible so we can try to resolve a problem.
9. Updates and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or law. We will publish the new version here and give appropriate notice of material changes. Changes do not apply retrospectively to an existing dispute. If a material change is not acceptable, you can stop using the service and contact us about account closure or retrieval of records.
